There is much more to using printable coloring pages than just the fun, though. The experience of coloring is actually an educational activity. Children develop skills through this activity, like hand−eye coordination, picture comprehension, and the concept of colors. When you find a child who has colored all their life, you will find a child who normally uses knowledge gained effectively and efficiently.
It not just increases concentration skills, hand eye co−ordination and the picking up of colors, it is also a great chance for us grownups to get some quality time with our children. It is just so enjoyable to give feedback as your youngster gets more practiced and better at staying between the lines, or coordinating the correct colors to the right area on the character on the page.
Children form many connections and ideas of how the painting process works for them, as well as what they enjoy about it. Watch a child painting and you will see a fully engaged child. We can almost see children's thoughts, such as, "When I push my brush flat, my line gets bigger", or "I like stirring this, but I don't want to put it on paper or touch it", or "I mixed red with more red and orange, and got fire color red!" While we listen and observe, we may begin to understand the way a child perceives his world, his developmental abilities, and his needs or interests.
