In addition to improving fine motor skills, drawing enables your child to draw connections between what he or she sees and what he or she does. This hand−eye coordination is important in athletic and recreational situations, as well as in academic scenarios such as penmanship lessons. For a hand−eye coordination boost, have your child draw an object while looking at it or copy a drawing that you made.

Well I guess you′ve seen that on your child′s latest coloring book. I believe that is the beauty of this activity. Children are not bound to rules. They just use whatever color they like and apply it on the picture. As a preschool teacher, I recommend that you just let your child color the way he/she likes it. As mush as possible, refrain from instructing what colors to use. Or worse, criticize them. Instead, let them develop their creativity and imagination by giving them free reign on what colors to use. Anyways, there′s plenty of time of them to follow rules when they grow up. For now, let′s just let them be creative.

It is a great activity particularly as it replaces paper coloring. Coloring pages aid teachers and other educators with pictures rather than confusing them with the words. Pictures help young children understand what they are taught far better than words ever could. Coloring online is beneficial for young children as it teaches them concentration, self−discipline, dedication, a sense of achievement, complete tasks, the knowledge they had done their best and most importantly to boost their confidence and help them succeed in life.

Learning colors is a huge aspect of preschool curriculum, and there are so many great books and resources on them. You can talk about colors just about anywhere you are! The idea of mixing two colors to form a new color is somewhat of a complex concept for preschoolers. While it may be easier to understand that red and white make pink, it′s just not as easy to remember that blue and red make purple. Whenever I do color mixing with young children, I try to make the process of learning one that is memorable. If we engage their senses in the process, then it becomes an even greater tool.

The online coloring stuff with printable option might be the best of its kind as the child does not have to finish his coloring in one go, he can wait and try his hand whenever he wants to. Or he can get the prints once he is done with the artwork online. What pleases you more? The child who is happy and busy or the one who is always complaining of not getting the stuff he wants to color. Of course the latter option can be the choice.

The positive and negative aspect of the split complementary color model is that you can use any two colors in the scheme and get great contrast, but that also means it can also be tricky to find the right balance between the colors. As a result, you may end up playing around with this one a bit more to find the right combination of contrast. No matter which color scheme you choose, try and keep in mind what your graphic needs. If you need to create contrast, then choose a color scheme that gives you that. On the other hand, if you just need to find the best "versions" of certain colors, then play around with the monochromatic color scheme to find the perfect shades and tints.

The next activity that was hugely successful in helping my class learn about color mixing is an idea that I saw at Teach Preschool. We finger painted color wheels, and I would say each child chose to participate in this for at least 25 minutes! I printed off a color wheel for each child, and I put red, yellow, and blue on their painting plate. There was enough space in between each color to form a new color to be mixed. They painted the red, left a blank space, then painted yellow. Then they mixed the red and yellow on their plate to make orange and added it to the color wheel. We continued this until we had red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple on the color wheel. I felt that this specific activity really sank into their minds and gave them a great understanding of color mixing — one that words could never do justice with.
