Kindergarten ABC worksheets should have different activities to help children identify the various letters of the alphabet. The activities may involve very simple things like coloring, ticking, drawing a line to match items etc. Using attractive illustrations and cartoon characters would make it more fun for children. The activities should be graded, i.e initial activities should be very simple and easy (but should be fun with good pictures etc, so as to interest the child); later worksheets may involve a little bit more work.
What's important for parents to recognize is the importance of reading. Without this basic skill, there are huge obstacles and limitations that threaten the success of any child. And, as we are not all teaching professionals, we may be limited to our teaching skills. Therefore, we as parents, trying to guide our children properly through life, should be using the various tools that can and will improves on the life of the child.
As is, the sheets on this site are great for beginning letter and shape recognition. One component I believe to be missing from these tracing practice sheets, however, are the lines which mimic writing paper. Having those lines available is an important step toward appropriate letter size and formation when children are actually beginning to write and spell. To combat this, I have simply take a sheet of clear overhead transparency film and drawn the appropriate lines using permanent marker. This clear sheet is then laid over the tracing page.
