INQUIRE ABOUT ADVERTISING ON TROUBLE WITH COMICS

Trouble with Comics, I haven’t read so am not disparaging the actual...

I haven’t read so am not disparaging the actual content, but what superhero team books have really benefited from large casts? I mean, all at the same time. Maybe Legion of Super-Heroes, but even then the best stories are mostly focusing on a core of around six, right? WildCATs had the nice, if compromised, Alan Moore run alternating between two teams, but that was still character-driven. To me, I see a big cast on a cover and I get worried it’s going to be a lot of epic bullcrap and maybe a couple one-note characters used as cannon fodder. What stories (specific arcs, not like saying Astro City is all one story or something) can you think of that featured a large cast of superheroes where it really worked well?
